I'm back bitches

Don't have much time at the moment. I'm busy doing useless things.

Did you guys see the latest Arthur Christmas trailer? Wow that sucked big ones. Don't bother doing a search on it. Save your time for something more interesting. Like taking a dump.

Heard some rumors about a couple of CG features getting funding. The studios are not ones you've heard of before. Portions of it will possibly be done in the states. However, the majority will be from Europe. The stories look pretty good. Not much to say at the moment. When funding happens, I'll blab more about them.

That's it for now. Hopefully I'll be back with more in the next year or two.

Good to have you back, you've been missed. Looking forward to more posts, I imagine you must have plenty of tidbits from the past year to share?

Can you tell us about the supposed new studio that probably never get off the ground?

Anonymous,

That group is still trying to make it happen. However, as mentioned in a previous post, (maybe as long ago as a year) I've given up on them.

Considering it has been so many years now, it is unlikely to go any further. The only thing that may save them is a change in leadership or a reduction in their goals. The person in charge now is obviously not capable of pulling together the $900 million. My suggestion would be for them to lower their requirements and look to do a film or two, not a full blown studio.

Some of the people from that group have splintered off. It should be interesting to see what (if anything) happens as they go their own ways.

Rafi,

While I'm not out of the animation industry, I did take a detour to work on a non-animation related funding project. I gained a lot of experience that I didn't previously have. Including writing PPMs (private placement memorandums). While I wouldn't want to make a career out of that, it was educational.

I've paid much less attention to the animation world during this time. So, I don't know that I have a lot to say about what happened between my last post and now.
